Qatar End of Service Gratuity Calculator
Enter the basic monthly wage and service dates to estimate the minimum end-of-service gratuity under Qatar Labour Law, in Qatari riyals.
The law sets three weeks as the minimum. Raise the weeks if the employment contract gives more.
How gratuity works in Qatar
Under Qatar Labour Law (Law No. 14 of 2004), a worker who has completed at least one year of service is entitled to an end-of-service gratuity of at least three weeks' wages for each year of service. Part years are counted in proportion.
The gratuity is based on the last basic wage, without allowances. A contract or company policy can give more than the minimum but not less.
Example
A worker on a basic wage of QAR 6,000 a month earns about QAR 200 a day (6,000 ÷ 30). Three weeks is 21 days, so each year of service is worth QAR 4,200. Five years of service gives a minimum gratuity of QAR 21,000.
This is an estimate. Deductions owed to the employer and the terms of the contract can change the final amount, so check with the Ministry of Labour or an adviser.
