UAE VAT Calculator
Add 5% VAT to a price or take it out of a VAT-inclusive total. Results update as you type.
How UAE VAT works
The standard rate of VAT in the UAE is 5%. To add VAT, multiply the net price by 1.05. To take VAT out of a total that already includes it, divide by 1.05 and subtract the result from the total.
Example
A net price of AED 1,000 plus 5% VAT is AED 50 of VAT and AED 1,050 in total. If AED 1,050 is the VAT-inclusive price, the net amount is AED 1,000.
Businesses generally have to register for VAT when taxable supplies pass the mandatory threshold of AED 375,000 a year. Check current rules with the Federal Tax Authority before you rely on any figure.
